Updates, Week of 10/21 and 10/28

Hello, Families!

Below you will find some important updates for the next two weeks.

Picture Day Is Tomorrow, Tuesday, October 22 (PreK-6)

Picture day order forms have been sent home with students. Ways to pay include...

Cash (include exact change in order envelope)
Check (made out to Bell Imaging)
Credit/debit card slip (include in order envelope)

*You can order a digital image and it will be sent to your email address. Cost is $26.00.

Every order placed will receive ONE complimentary class composite picture. The 8 x 10 class composites will be delivered to the school at a later date and will be distributed separately from your individual picture packet.

GLOW Run Fundraiser

Mark your calendar for the GLOW Run Fundraiser sponsored by our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) on Thursday, October 24.

During the week of the fun run, we’re having dress-up days, a running event during students' specials time on Thursday (10/24), and a friendly competition among the classes to see who can earn the most points!

Dress Up Days

Monday, 10/21: Crazy Hair Day

Tuesday, 10/22: Picture Day - Dress for Success (whatever that looks like for you)

Wednesday, 10/23: Wacky Wednesday - Wear mismatched clothes and patterns and see how wild you can get

Thursday, 10/24: GLOW DAY - High Visibility, Neon Colors, Anything that will glow

Friday, 10/25: Spirit Day (No school for Rainier Preschool & Head Start students only)

OPTIONAL Dress-Up Day, 10/31/2024

All students (PreK-6) may wear school-appropriate costumes to school on Thursday, October 31. Weapons, masks, and body/face paint are not allowed. Costumes are optional.

Important Reminders

10/23: Early Release, Dismissal @ 12:45 p.m., Grades PreK-6

Early Release, Dismissal @ 1:00 p.m., Grades 7-12

10/24: GLOW Run during students' PE classes

10/25: No school for Rainier Preschool & Head Start students only. K-12 students have a regular school day.

10/30: Early Release, Dismissal @ 12:45 p.m., Grades PreK-6

Early Release, Dismissal @ 1:00 p.m., Grades 7-12

10/31: Cougar Credit Prize Drawing & Student of the Month (Responsibility) @ 2:00 p.m. via intercom.

No after school tutoring for students K-3.

11/1: Grade Day, No school for all students, grades PreK-12

LESS THAN TWO WEEKS LEFT TO CLAIM YOUR STUDENT’S LOST ITEMS! Any remaining items left in the Lost and Found after 10/31, will be donated on November 1st.

11/2: Rainier Senior Center Holiday Bazaar, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
